Studio Album

The music of the stage work SEMMELWEIS is reimagined in a 16-track hour-long studio album, featuring vocalist Charlotte Mundy, The Rhythm Method, violinist Leah Asher, bass clarinetist Chrystof Knoche, double bassist Ranjit Prasad, and singer/multi-instrumentalist Ray Lustig. Produced by Ray Lustig, with co-production and engineering by Maximilien Hein and Drew Schlingman. Recorded at Manicburg on Hudson (NYC) and The Hit Factory (NYC).

SEMMELWEIS is inspired by the story of nineteenth-century Hungarian obstetrician Ignác Semmelweis (1818-1865), who discovered the cure for a devastating epidemic but could not convince the world of the simple solution, and died alone in an asylum. Dr. Semmelweis had been the first to see an unthinkable truth: that the deadly disease was passing from the bodies of the dead to healthy mothers on the unwashed hands of the doctors themselves.

EXPECTED RELEASE in Spring of 2025. More info
